Sunset at Phnom Bakhen

Phnom Bakhen is one of the most famous places in Siem Reap to catch the sunset. Juli is a big fan of sunrises & sunsets, so to give her company I went along with her to Phnom Bakhen. The temple is on a small hill (which is why it offers a beautiful view of the sunset) and involves a short trek to the top. When we got there, the place was packed with people. After a long wait, I finally got some place to sit; and saw the sun go down.

Juli, Talita, Paul & I had dinner together, after which we said goodbye to Paul. He would be going to Bangkok tomorrow, would go to India in a few months, and would continue travelling till October.

Juli, Talita & I then went to Molly Malone’s bar where Ryan was playing tonight. We stayed there for a bit, met Ryan, and came back. I said goodbye to Juli at the guesthouse. She was catching an early morning bus to Bangkok, would travel for another 2 or 3 months in South East Asia before going back home.
